OWN TV Launch

We are excited to have helped shape one of the most exciting new channels to emerge on the TV landscape. Oprah Winfrey, in partnership with Discovery Communications, launched OWN TV on January 1, 2011. We worked closely with OWN to help shape and produce their integrated short-form programming on-air and online.
Hasbro treats us like kids.
We’re nearly ten years old, but Hasbro asked us to act even younger as we developed original programming and show packaging for the toy and entertainment giant. We can’t tell you any more or we’ll be put in “time-out”, but we’re looking forward to many future collaborations.

This August, the brand and content studio Auracana journeyed to the U.S. Gulf Coast with Planet Green and environmentalist Philippe Cousteau to capture powerful personal stories about the BP Oil spill for the month long programming event BLUE AUGUST. Philippe Cousteau traveled with Auracana on a five day, one thousand mile trek throughout the Gulf Coast to create multi-platform on-air and digital web content that takes viewers on a powerful journey beyond the headlines.
“The goal for Planet Green was to capture dramatic, unscripted stories of individuals whose very way of life is threatened by the oil spill along the Gulf Coast. Auracana was a fantastic partner in creating on-air documentary and web content that expanded our month-long Blue August programming and further enhanced the Planet Green brand,” said Ben Rubin, Creative Director for Planet Green.
From shrimpers and fishing guides to heroic environmentalists and fourth generation oystermen; the team followed the trail of oil, spreading like a cancer, from closed fishing waters in Grand Isle, Louisiana to oil soaked beaches in Mobile, Alabama to places where oil has yet to come in the Florida Panhandle.
“Creating compelling content and building great brands are the hallmark of Auracana’s close relationship with television networks and entertainment companies and this project was truly rewarding,” says Auracana’s Executive Creative Director Glenn Kesner.

They sing it at the track and hear it everyday on promos, graphic packaging and off-air marketing Auracana created for SPEED for the last two NASCAR seasons.
Turner Classic Movies celebrates 15 year anniversary.
Glenn Kesner, Auracana’s President, launched Turner Classic Movies. As VP/Creative Director, he charted new waters on how to brand, design and promote a movie network. More than 15 years and dozens of awards later; TCM still remains true to Glenn’s original vision.
